MRA was founded in 2022 after the war in Ukraine broke out. Elina has family roots in the Ukraine and felt the urge to help. Once she began assisting in rescuing animals, she realized there was a great need here in the US. Elina began building her network of fosters, volunteers, and vets. Due to Elina's efforts, MRA has saved hundreds of dogs and cats, who now live healthy and happy lives.
Elina Tsyvkin is the founder of Mission Rescue Alliance. Elina is an Oncologist based in New York with a passion for animals. She has assembled a team of volunteers, fosters, networkers, and veterinary professionals to aid in the rescue of at-risk animals on the euthanasia list in shelters.
MRA is currently focusing on shelters in Texas as they are in crisis. This requires dedicated volunteers and networkers. While MRA is based in New York, all of our fosters are based in Texas, as well as most of our veterinary professionals and volunteers. We do utilize volunteers out of state as we facilitate out-of-state adoptions.
